The Torbay Business Association is a not-for-profit community organisation supporting businesspeople and businesses serving the growing Waiake, Torbay, Long Bay and Okura area.
Our principal platform for connecting services and businesses to our community is via the long-standing the Torbay Newsletter. We also use Facebook, Instagram, and this website.
The Torbay Newsletter
Published by the Association for 20 years, the Torbay Newsletter, is printed monthly (excluding Jan) and delivered free to 6900 houses and businesses in all four suburbs. We also email it to ‘paper-free’ subscribers.
The Newsletter is dearly loved and respected in the community and is the best way to keep residents of these areas informed about news, services and products relevant to them.

In February, we appointed a new Editorial Team to update the Newsletter and increase the readership.
Who better to understand the needs of customers and businesses than businesspeople? The new Chairperson, providing overall management is Dr Glover. She has an outstanding career as a researcher and is a successful business owner. In 2019, she was one of the three finalists in the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards. The Association’s new Co-ordinator, Keerti Siag, used to run the Fruit Shop in Torbay Village and is now a professional photographer. We also have a marketing consultant, and local writers. Together, the team has decades of experience in marketing, writing, graphic design and photography – design and advice comes with every ad.

Classifieds start from as low as $5. Adverts start at $60 – you can even pack a punch with a whole page at $475.

The Torbay Business Association Inc. was established as a Business Investment District (BID) by businesses situated in Torbay Village. They pay an annual Membership fee. Constitutionally they are recognised as Full Members.
Other businesses are welcome to join as Associate Members. Associate Members enjoy most of the benefits of full membership, including being listed in the Business Directory, priority access to business development workshops and resources, and priority access to advertising space when it becomes available.
